A900 Camera Metering

how do I make 'Spot Metering' the dafault on my A900 camera. At present I have to change it from 'Wide' every time I switch the camera on.

Have you tried leaving the 'Metering Mode' switch set to Spot?

Yes tried that and it works but after you switch camera off - the status reverts and you have to reset to 'spot' again.

If the camera is set to AUTO mode, the AF area will be set to WIDE by default when turnin the camera off and on again. In any other mode (PASM) camera will keep the previously set AF-area
