Is the Sony FE200-600mm G OSS lens compatible with a6500 camera?

Hi, I have a few questions I hope someone can help me with.

Has anyone tried the above lens with a A6500?

I have read various things on line but they are all different!

Do I need a teleconverter?

If I need a teleconverter how does it affect the lens and the quality of the photos?

If I need a converter which one?

Do you think this combination is worth it? (I have a very limited budget!)

Any suggestions welcome

Thanks

Linda

Hi Marino, thanks for the link. That is where I started my research and it says it is compatible with a 1.4 teleconverter though I have read on other sites this affects the f-stop and makes it into a F11 instead of. F5.6which I would hope is not true but if it is it will surely affect the quality of the photos especially early morning wildlife photography.  This would also make the cost about £2,300 which is an awful lot of money to me if I. Not going to get the quality or depth of field I would hope for. I would be grateful for your opinion on it.

thanks

The restriction are "just un case", if you use the 200-600 with the 1.4 or 2.0 Teleconverter...
