Shutter lockable with wireless remote ?

Sony mentions that the shutter can be locked open in the descriptions for both the wired shutter releases in their accessory range, but doesn't say anything about it's wireless remote.

So, I just like to make sure the wireless one can lock the shutter open for as long as I want.

The wireless remote looks like it's mostly for controlling playback on a tv.

Has someone got one and can tell me please ?

cheers, Ian. ( I have a SLT a65 )

Hi Ian and welcome.

As long as the camera is set to MANUAL -> BULB,  pressing the SHUTTER button on the RMT-DSLR1 triggers BULB shooting.  The shutter will stay locked open until you press the SHUTTER button on the remote again - no need to hold down the shutter button.

Have a look at Pages 100 to 102 of your manual here: -

It will also work in other camera remote control modes (Quick Response & Delayed).
