Dcr-trv270e Windows 10 usb driver

Good day. I have this camera. I need to upload old videos to my laptop. The laptop no longer has a firewire. I bought a FW reduction to the usb port but Windows can't recognize the camera. Still listing "unknown usb device". Can you advise me how to connect it? Well thank you

Sadly, USB streaming was only supported in Windows XP. It is not supported by Vista, Win 7, Win 8, Win8.1 or Win10.

I keep an old Vaio running XP for this and other purposes!

With Win10 you can only use a FireWire/iLink connector and you may need to install a legacy iLink/IEEE 1394 driver - I have not tried it.

The only alternative if FireWire fails to recognise, is to buy an analogue USB video capture device and an analogue AV cable.
