Hello and welcome to the Sony Forums

Can I just check that you are following the connection instructions on page 33 of the manual:

In theory, as long as you have powered up the camera, plugged it into the mains and then connected it to your VRD-MC6, this should be detected by the device. Are you getting some kind of error message?

Thanks,

Simon

Hello, I have connected as per the instructions on page 33. I don't get any error message just a message on the VRDMC6 saying "Waiting for input signal"

I have wondered if the new 4pin-4pin iLink cable is duff so ordered another...I'm waiting for that to arrive.

Some posts have referred to setting up the camera into the right mode to transfer digital data but I don't think the TRV110E has a function to setup the DVout port nor requires it?!?

There's no setup required for DV transfer. But the MC6 is certainly compatible with the output from your camera.

Hope the new cable does the trick.

Cheers

Hello again

I hope it is merely a cable issue - let us know.
