I don't want Reader Library!

Reader Library just hangs, need to end it with Task Manager. Using Win 7 64 bit, plug in the reader to charge it and up pops Reader Library. I just use Adobe Digital Editions having given up on Sony's offering. Anyone know how to prevent RL launching?

Uninstall it?

Or if you don't want to do that you can prevent the software (a small component that monitors if a Reader is plugged in, if it detects the Reader it will launch Reader Library) from booting with your PC. There are several programs which can disable this. I'll list from free ones.

Soluto http://www.soluto.com/ is pretty nice, with it you can also disable other programs from booting with Windows, to make the PC faster.

CCleaner http://www.piriform.com/ Besides being excellent at cleaning up your PC, it can remove programs from the boot/startup list.

There is also a method of disabling startup-software within windows.. Follow this link and read about "Method Three"
