Hi all, hope you can help me.
Got a nice new shiny blu ray home cinema system for Christmas, and I want to hook up the system to play sound from my tv, which is a really obscure model, a murphy 32883 LCD tv.
As far as I can see, the tv is ARC enabled. The tv itself is less than a year old, hence my assumption. There is nothing in the instruction manual to say otherwise. However, I just cannot get the tv sound to come through the speakers. I have followed the instruction manual of the system, tried all possible variants and cannot get it to work. I ordered a digital optical cable, however after ordering, noticed there is no connection on the tv!
What I'm asking is, if the tv does not broadcast sound through the hdmi, is there another way of getting the sound through? The tv also has built in free view so no extra boxes anywhere.
