No of coarse not, just take a piece of what you have to a maplin store or audio shop buy enough to repair the damage and then some, then splice the new cables in by soldering the twisted joins and tape them up.
if you dont feel competant enough to do it then find someone who is, even a repair shop should do it.
just make sure the cables are joined the right way round, speaker cables usually have one side with a black stripe on it.
