X800 firmware issues 4k playback

I just updated my firmware on the x800 the update was released in august last year but ever since I have played two 4K disc they play for about an hour then picture freezes and disc keeps skipping 10 seconds or so and just won’t play.

anyone else having this issue? Discs are brand new just out of box. It’s getting very frustrating wish I never updated firmware

Hey there,

Are you talking about the UBP-X800? 
Also, maybe try to reset it and test it with other CD's as well, also try non 4K CDs, to see if it's only 4K related, or does it affect everything else.

It is the X800 and it only effects 4k discs.

I also have the Sony x700 and the discs play without issue on that player
