46hx853 and bdv-n590 sound issues

hi all, have above TV and cinema system connected with a Sony dlc-he20hf 1.4 hdmi cable which is plugged into the ARC hdmi's.everything works brilliantly except the TV sound over the 590.

The sound is intermittent,works for 2 seconds then stops for 1 second over and over. Is there a setting I missed?

If anyone has any ideas,thanks.

I don't quite get it. I have mine connection actually the same thing you are, but my sound quality seems to be normal and wokring quite well. Try to disconnect everything and then reconnect. Do a quick reset which might also work.

Thanks for the reply nimbystripes, tried that this evening,even reversed the hdmi cable,made no difference.

Then I tried a different hdmi cable (a very cheap one) and it worked perfectly.Sound is super.

So faulty hdmi cable.  Thanks again for your help
