Excellent offer, especially for christmas.

However I have registered and now need to link the offer to the ability to use.

I have done everything asked of me and when entering the sony website as advised on the Television menu, then following through to personalised services and selecting "link to service"

I then get a return message of "

Error in My ESSENTIALS
The page you requested is invalid. Please try again.

Please can you advise so that I may then use the fantastic offer

Hmm, I just tried on my account and once I selected link to service it took me through to the Lovefilm page ok.

The lovefilm link page is https://www.lovefilm.com/visitor/login.html?validation_error=Please%20sign%20in%20to%20access%20this... if you want to do it manually?

Maybe give it a go in a few mins?

Thanks for the quick response, however its when i try to link the lovefilm registration to the sony registration on the sony site that the error is received.  The lovefilm part worked ok and i have registration.

Is there a problem with the http://internet.sony.tv/ site? as here i cannot link my account on Essentials

Strange - I've just gone through the process again to check and its working ok here. Which browser are you using? I know its a bit ropey on Safari at the moment and so maybe try using Firefox (or ie) ?

I've got exactly the same problem, once i link to the services i get the following message:

Error in My Essentials

The page you requested is invalid. Please try again.

I've attempted to link the services a number of times, but the same message keeps appearing.

Has this issue been resolved?

It seems strange that some people can get access.

I am using ie8.

I am having exactly the same problem, so reassuring but not helpful to find others with it.

I have tried via e-mail support to get an answer, but just received a series of links to generic problems as if they couldn't be bothered to read my description of the problem, so not impressed so far.

And just to add to my list of complaints about Sony, I find I have to register on three different sites to

1. get onto My Sony

2. get onto Essentials to make the link to LoveFilm

3. be able to access this forum.

Here's hoping the answer to this problem is provided by someone soon.  I'm currently watching my fourteen day trial period with LoveFilm evaporate day by day.
