Hi Behzad7,

welcome to Questions & Answers..:smileyhappy:

I suspect the saleperson was referring to the Full HD 3D Glasses Initiative that Sony, Samsung & Panasonic have been developing which according to reports are expected to be available in 2012..

Other than the inital press reports, etc I am not aware of anything official being mentioned from Sony as to when they will be available to purchase..

I believe he maybe refering to the new TDG-BR750 glasses as highlighted a couple of days ago at CES.

http://ces.cnet.com/8301-33376_1-57356453/hands-on-with-sonys-2012-3d-glasses/?tag=mncol%3btxt

they look much better on the face of it (alot more stylish and comfortable) and are listed as almost 1/2 the weight of the BR250's. What I want to know though is whether they have a faster response time (can't find any specifications) and whether they will reduce the crosstalk I see with my current BR250's (set - 55HX923)

Im sure all info wasnt available when you posted this but it seems that they do use an infra red emitter to sync with TV, see the instructions pdf in the BRD750 thread.

Still no confirmation on which TV models they will work with? I was about to go out and buy 3-4 pairs of 250's but now im thinking of waiting for a release date and price before I possibly waste money on inferior glasses.

Yes, good to see that they are infra red. I may get around to buying a pair myself if they're compatable with my TV. Wearing the existing glasses is tortuous.

Sony should offer upgrades to existing users to trade in old specs.

There was a story on the gadget show saying that Sony and some other manufacturers were in agreement over a bluetooth glasses spec. It seems to not have materialised ... yet.

I couldnt resist any longer, purchased 2 pairs of the TDG BR-250 today, ill wait and see if the TDG BR-750's come out soon before i buy any more.

I wonder if they actually flicker at the same rate the TV is able to do , so can the glasses flicker thier shutters at 400hz when viewing 3D on a HX923 and 200hz on HX823?

Anyone bought any third party glasses , i would assume the Sony ones are the only ones to have and the others are crap, but maybe im wrong and they all work the same?

Im looking forward to seeing the TDG BR-1000's already!

I'd be interested to hear whether the new glasses are any better from the old both in terms of comfort and picture quality.

Have a look here people

http://www.digitalversus.com/tv-television/sony-bravia-kdl-55ex723-p10615/test.html

it seems that with this model in particular, the glasses flicker to fast for the screen. hence the breakown of 3D at the top of the screen.

Unbelievable! Didn't anyone test this before the TV was released?
