Unwatchable amazon prime app

I have just bought Sony  bravia 43" KDL43WF663BU, specifically because my previous Sony bravia tv was no longer playing the amazon prime app (old 2011 tv), and I watch amazon prime regularly. I read a lot of reviews before buying the tv and not once did I come across the problems the Sony tvs have had with the amazon prime app. It is unwatchable. It stutters and freezes and you have to turn the tv off to get out of the app. Since having the tv and trying to resolve the problem I have found comments from way back in December 2017 saying that the Sony tvs have a problem with the app. There appears to still have been no fix to this problem? 

The tv is hardwired to the router, Netflix works fine through the tv and the amazon app works fine on other devices, so it is a Sony tv problem. When is a fix going to available?

Sony don't respond on these forums so it may be an idea for you to contact Support
