Video categories when streaming from PC

I have a 40EX653 and have set up connections to my home Network and have a folder full of video files I wish to view on the TV. This works great, but what I find annoying is that when I select my PC server from the Media menu on the TV, I get a whole list of categories like Actors, Genre and Rating and only on page 2 do I find Folders, which is the only "category" I need. None of my video file have metadata so these other categories are superfluous.

Is there any way of only showing the Folders category or at least defaulting to it so that I don't have to scroll down to it every time?

My PC runs Windows 7 with Media Player 12 acting as the DLNA server.

Hi there

I have no experience in WMP12, however if you use Homestream (http://www.sony.co.uk/homestream) you can set your TV to display the folders of your media and the content only.

Hope that helps.

That's perfect. And it allows me to watch video in unsupported formats like mkv which is a huge bonus. Thanks ever so.
