Watching a box set from a USB stick

Hi, Wonder if anyone out there can help me.  I have a Sony Bravia 40" tv (KDL-40R473A and would like to watch a box set hat has been recorded onto a USB stick.  When we put it into the tv, it shows the box set is there, but when we click on it, it says "no files are found"  How can I get my USB to work?????

Thanks!!!!

Hi there

The video files that you wish to play via USB needs to be in a format that the TV will recognise.  Unfortunately I cannot ascertain conclusively on what format and codecs that your TV supports.  I am reasonably confident that your TV supports MKV, MP4 files using the H264/AVCHD codecs.

What you can do is run a program called Media Info (Available : Here) on a couple of the files and post the results back in Text format, as I might be able to assist you further.  You may need to convert these files as well.

Hope that helps.
