ar21m cant install xp someone please help

iv got im ar21m wicked laptop but too much sony stuff wich i dont like it so when i boot xp and try to format my harddrive it says set up cannot find hard drives i even tryed to put the sata drivers on the disk and install it but no luck so could someone please help me

Hi smart phones and welcome to Club Vaio.

XP does not support SATA hard discs and cannot recognise your hard disc without loading the SATA drivers during the installation.

The usual way is to use a floppy USB disc drive (you remember them 1.44MB) and to press F6 when you see the Welcome to Setup screen during the XP install.

There is a way around this if you don't have a floppy drive by using nLite to make a bootable CD of your XP installation that includes the SATA drivers.
