Audio problem

I have just formatted my vaio FE21H and put Win Xp Pro on instead of MCE.

Everything is running fine apart from my audio. it has not been detected. How do i go about installing this?

I have tried the Sigmatel installation from my backup discs but it says it cannot find the device.

Hi Chris,

Have you installed the Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for high Definition Audio (KB835221 or the newer KB888111) first?

You should find the KB888111.EXE file in C:\Drivers\Hotfix. (or the older KB835221.exe) - just run this before you install the audio drivers.

If it's not there you may have to Google for a download. Microsoft want to charge for this Hotfix so avoid them!!
