BATTERIES THAT ARE NOT SONY PRODUCTS?

HOW CAN YOU DISABLE THE POP UPS THAT TELL YOU THE NEW BATTERY IS NOT AN OFFICIAL SONY PRODUCT? CAN ANYONE HELP

i knopw i put that, my friend bought the same battery and managed to disable the pop up that sony run, but he is in australia and i can get him to find out how i do this can you help?

You are confusing me Will…

I answered the question in your first thread.

The file is called ISBMgr.exe and I think that you will find it locate at Program Files/Sony/ISB Utility/    

Click Start > Run and type msconfig and then hit enter. Have a look at the Startup items and uncheck this file, reboot and try the battery again.

Just keep in mind that using a battery that was not officially approved/supplied by Sony will void any claim in case of disfunction. As far as I know, it can either work or blow up your VAIO (in case the power cells are faulty/cheap and start leaking).

Caveat emptor

Yeah I agree, not worth loosing a grand's worth of hardware to save £100
