Bleeping

Hi......I have a VGN S3XP and all has been fine for a year. I have not made any software or hardware changes in the last 4 months.

Problem: Completely at random the laptop will bleep several times in quick succession. There is no set pattern and no errors are reported in the event log as far as I can see.

It appears to be totally random. Does anybody have any ideas what this could be?

The bleeping occurs every now and then.

Bleeps are messeges by BIOS. It want to tell you that something is wrong.

How does it sound and how many bleeps? short bleeps, long bleeps?
