I bought my c1xn notebook from a friend that had tried to upgrade his OS to XP - but he cocked up. I have managed to format/repartition the hard disk, and have downloaded the XP boot disks form the microsoft site (allows an XP boot from 6 floppies).
The problem I have is that there is only one USB port on the notebook - the floppy is USB and I can boot up from this - but I can't boot up from my external cd/dvd drive (Pioneer) - which means that I can't complete the XP install.
Can anyone help?
PS - Pioneer don't provide a dos driver for the dvd I have.
