Bought a SZ1XP yesterday. Today, when using it, Windows froze and a VERY loud clicking noise came from the bottom left corner (where I assume the hard disc is). I had to do a hard reset to cut the power, and now it won't get past the VAIO boot screen. The hard disc just thrashes away making an awful noise.
NOT HAPPY!
This laptop is a day old, bought from a shop on Tottenham Court Road. Is the Sony service warranty people going to mess me about? I shudder to think how long I'm going to be without something I just spent so much money on, and I don't live NEAR London to get a replacement for what was a faulty machine they sold me.
Can I take the machine into my local Sony Centre, Oxford?
