Brightness control not working

I ran vaio update to update my graphics card drivers and the function keys to adjust the screens brightness stopped working. How can i fix this problem?i have a VGNS3XP notebook.

maybe you need to install the vaio utilities file?

I'm guessing I already have that installed because it used to work but i need to reinstall it to get the brightness function keys to work with the new drivers. What exactly is the utilities file and where can i get it.

on your C:/ drive you should have a map called C:/utils with an .exe in there.
