Can't use max resolution in games

Hi all,

I've got a VGN-A417M notebook with an ATI Mobility Radeon X600 256MB hypermemory video card, with a maximum screen resolution of 1440x900. In 3D-games though, I can only select 1024x768 as the maximum resolution. Is there any way to get the 1440x900 in games?

I've got the latest drivers and I searched the Internet and this forum, but haven't found a solution yet.

Thanks!

Read the FAQ! Read how to install! Use it at own risk!

I installed the Omega drivers and it workes!

I've got alot more resolutions now, though not the 1440x900. In C&C I can select 1200x900 instead of 1024x768, which gives me sharp graphics (not wide screen... but w/e) and in UT I can choose for 1280x800, which does give me widescreen but not sharp graphics.

I think that Sony just selected a very uncommon resolution.

But I'm happy with the results of the Omega drivers
And next time I'll buy an Acer. A lot faster and more compatible  (but - all compliments to the screen, that's the best there is! Not noting the resolution...)

Thank you all for your help!
