The laptop SVT1311M1ES.CEK has a hybrid HDD and not sure if it has RAID setup or just Hybrid setup. (!)
It was factory setup with Windows 7 Home Premium and have recently failed on us. The Sony service centre got it backup running on Windows 7 Home Basic as my sister didn't create the recovery discs.
I have recently purchased retail version of Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit and would like to clean install it using a USB drive as this model doesnt have DVD drive on it.
Could you help with a KB article or a brief explanation on how to go about installing Windows 8.1 Pro in such a way that the hybrid HDD technology is used at its fullest?
I am talking about using the hybridized SSD part of the HDD to have faster boot up and using the Assist and Web hot key buttons on the top of keyboard etc.., after installing Windows 8.
