I have a Sony Vaio AR21S Laptop with Blu-Ray Disk drive, a Sony Bravia KDL-V40A12U HD TV, Denon DHT 500SD Home cinema system and a Sky HD box. I want to connect my Laptop to the TV using an HDMI cable, to allow the playing of a Blu-Ray disk onto the screen. Has anyone done this or similar before, that could advise me.
Currently my Home Cinema is driven by the Sky HD box to which it is connected by an optical cable. How do I get the best audio output from the laptop. Presumably this needs to be connected to the Home Cinema in some way, but how?
I am new to this forum so apologies if this question has been covered elsewhere.
