dual monitors help

i have been trying to conect my ra304 to my plasma with the s video connection but i am having trouble, in display settings there is no dual monitors in the drop down menu and i cant extend display on to monitor.
the prolem is that i have done this before, but for some reason it will not work now and i can't remeber what i am doing wrong. can any body help, i just want to view vaio zone on my plasma direct from the computer?

Hey Paul, So when you go to the drop down menu in the display settings panal do you get default graphics card settings 1 and ?. If so try the default and you might get your dual screens back and voila you are in but set a system restore first incase it gets ugly.

there is default and plug adn play, when i tick extend to this monitor and then apply the screen flickers off then comes back on but the tick has disappeared, i have looked in the user guide and followed the instructions to connect to tv but still nothing shows on the screen
