DVD-RW SONY VAIO PCV- RS402

I have a sony vaio pcv-rs402
When I try and record on a dvd-rw I cannot record
The discs I am using are Memorex dvd-rw 4.7gb dvd-rw

Are these ok to use or do I need an update or anything?

yo dude what files system do you have/ where is it from

i have a vaio purchused from the the usa and i have problems finding cd-rw that work it is proberly the disk

I have exactly the same system and no problems with DVD's but having problems with CD writing, is there going to be new firmware posted for this drive otherwise I believe Sony will be seeing a lot of returns????

i have a vaio pcv-rs224 other name pcv-rs2226

i have had problems writing to cd-rw but also havent with some disk for example maxell work fine
so like i said before it is proberly the disk
