Fan constantly running

Hi there,

I have a PCG-K315Z and have recently noticed that the fan is constantly running even with no application running at all, it never did this when I first got it but have since loaded a lot more sofware onto it and it is always on mains power.

Is this normal? Is there anyway to stop it as it is really annoying although I realise its there to protect the laptop.

My system is also extremely slow with nothing running even clicking on start to look at control panel it takes a while.

sooooo annoying
