Google Sidebar vs. Vista Sidebar

Hi!
I bought a new Vaio VGN-NR 11 S/S. The google sidebar is pre-installed. I would like to get rid of it and have the original vista sidebar back. But when I deinstall the google stuff, it is not working and the vista sidebar is not appearing at startup....could anyone help me?
