Headphone jack not Working

I have the problem. My headphone jack not working in windows XP after installing new Drivers, but speakers working perfectly. I am sure that is just a software problem, because in bios (splash Vaio sign) jack is working fine. Please HELP! :smileyd_oh: (I have sony Vaio S4XP)

Ho j0k3r.

I don't think there are separate controls for the speakers and the headphones. Usually either both work or neither work. It is odd that this should happen when updating drivers.

Have you tried the headset on another player to make sure it is OK? Is there any damage to the socket? Have you tried another set of headphones?

I presume you have had a look at your audio settings to make sure nothing is muted?
