Icons disappeared in system tray + firewall not working

Hi,

I have a Vaio VGN-FS415MR running Russian XP.

I've had some trouble in the past few days.

The first thing was the order of the programs in the start menu changed and aren't in date order anymore.

Then today the icons disappeared in my system tray for the firewall (Filseclab) plus Skype, AVG Anti-virus and the volume control. I've reinstalled the firewall and when I click on the desktop icon it says it's already running. I then tried opening Spypot to update which would require the firewall to make a new rule but it doesn't ask me. Therefore the firewall isn't working properly and there is no way for me to open its interface. If I open AVG from it's desktop icon then I click on update and it then puts the icon in the system tray. After rebooting it 25 times today I've noticed that occasionally the AVG icon will appear in the system tray but then disappear after I reboot.

The task manager says these programs are open.

Any ideas? It's difficult to figure out because it's in Russian and I could screw things up even more.

thanks
best regards
danny
