Impossible to install bundled Sony software on separately installed Windows XP?

I have an RS-404 with german XP Home. Since I use XP Pro
(english) at work, I tried to install XP Pro (english) and then the
bundled software from the Vaio software DVD. The installer
complains with something like "this is not a Vaio computer".

Is is at all possible to install the bundled software on a XP
version different from the one from the recovery DVD?

No it's not possible

You can try to install the Sony Shared libraries if they are available as installer from the VAIO Applikation Recovery Programm on the recovery DVD.

This adds information to the registry that your PC is a VAIO.
The SSL themselves can only be installed on VAIO-PCs.
