internet explorer

I have problem on my other pc. For soome reason my internet explorer stop to work and shows that no server. my windows live messenger works skyp works but i cant open any web site????
i used that laptop at my friends house and new acrobat reader was updating and than internet was out!!! please help me

Does this happen if you use the Firefox browser?

Have you tried a system restore to a date and time prior to the acrobat reader update?
