K115z silence mode problem after upgrade to winxp Pro

hello,

i've a big problem, because after I installed WinXP Pro, the silence mode doesn't work.
If I click at the field activate silence mode and ok, there is written that another process is currently running and so I can't activate it.

Nearly the same mistake is by Standby mode, if the vaio will go in standby there is written not supported.

please help me!!!

Check which processes are running in the background, and which might be blocking your silence mode.

Easiest way to check what's loaded when you start Windows is to click on START, then Run and type "msconfig -6" which will display all apps that are launched with Windows.

Deactivate the apps you don't know or need, reboot Windows and check if that solves the problem. Otherwise please post again!

I've done what you have written, there some applications but nothing that belongs to powermanagement, only the sony one. This I've deactivated and restart but nothings happened (same mistake), so I activated it again.
