Keyboard and Touchpad problem on FZ31M

I've had my FZ31M for about 3 months now and have a couple of issues:

Keyboard - I now make loads of spelling mistakes, caused by missing letters, especially when there is a double letter in the word.

Touchpad - I have turned of the touchpad scrollng feature, but I have found that for no reason the webpage I am on will go back to the previous page. It does it all the time and makes using it witout a mouse virtualy pointless.

Anyone else have these problems or a solution?

Hi RedW,

your set-up may be slightly different but this may help..

Click on Start, then click on Control Panel.

In control Panel, under Hardware and Sound, select Mouse.

In the Mouse Properties window select the Function tab.

In the Function tab deselect Use Web Assistant.

Does that help with the Touchpad problem.?

I am running Vista but don't see a Hardware and Sound option in CP. i'Ve looked in Sound and in Suystem but nothing looks like you are uggesting. Can you give me another clue.

OK another route..

Click Start, then all programs, then Vaio Control Centre..

Click Continue on the User Account Control window..

On the Vaio Control Centre expand Keyboard and Mouse..

Then double click on Mouse..

In the Mouse Properties window select the Function tab.

In the Function tab deselect Use Web Assistant.

Does that help with the Touchpad problem.?

I've made the change and been using the aptop most of the morning and no problems I'll obviously keep testing but thnks for the tip!
