local area connection

I am unable to connect to my main pc - as the laptop says network cable unplugged - what do i do

Hi jazzin66 and welcome to the forum.

I don’t claim to be an authoritative voice on this particular problem but if you were to provide a few more details then I am sure that someone will be able to offer advice.

I.e.
Vaio model.
Are you connecting via a router.
Ethernet cable or wireless.
Have you checked that your Local Area connection is enabled on both machines.
Have you run the “setup a home or small office network” on both machines.
Any other information that you think may be relevant.

Make sure they're plugged in properly too.

But Rich is right, we need more info, I'm just posting the obvious!

on my laptop there is a cross and it says there is a cxale un plugged all the time , but there is also another little (i think its a screen) that is my connection. that says wireless network connection. if you go to my computer and check that youre connection is enabled
