Memory stick Pro Apadtor not working

Since I got my FE11S a week ago I have not been able to get my card reader working. It worked out of the blue once but that was a unique time after a couple of days of trying.

The auto hardware install says its a Texas Instruments card reader and installs that or it says usb device not recongised.

Any idea how I can install it properly or does it need replacing

Just figured out that the texas instruments device is the integated duo reader, so the adapter card for the pro non duo stick is not being recongised at all, before every so often when I ejected and reinserted I got the usb not recongised error, but lately I dont get anything
