My Sony Vaio VPCEB1E0E fan makes too much noise

I have had this laptop for nearly a year now and i have 3 years warranty, when i first got the laptop the fan made some noise louder than any laptop i ever had but now it gets really loud and makes me sick. I work on a hard desk and my laptop has never overheated is there anyway i can fix this or do i have to ring up sony please help

Hi ansingh71,

It could be that the ventilation paths have accumulated some dust over time.

You may be able to clear some of this with the careful use of a compressed-air can but if this fails to fix it, the Vaio may need to be opened for a thorough spring clean.

As your Vaio is still within warranty, I would speak to Vaio Support before opening it as this may invalidate the warranty.

The fan might not be working properly. Overheating and noise are related and this could be a possible hardware issue. It may need to be RMAed.
