Need Help with my DVD RW DW U12A

since today my dvd-burner(DVD-RW DW U12A 2.0e) does not read/write any dvd and write CD with very strange sounds.
It sounds like a floppy disk is inside, but it isn't.
I have the PCV-RZ211.
Please help

1. sorry for the new thread
and btw the burner reads dvd-video, it seems it can't read empty disks
2. could maybe a firmware update help

So it's an empty disk?

The burner reads cds and at least dvd-video but with a strange sound.
And it doesn't read any empty dvd-r(w) nor +r(w).
