James,

My step father paid £35 for the desktop card.

Hay, yea i know the freeling, i just recently got my laptop working wirelessley... yea, what i found was the speed of the network card and the pc were diffrent, thus not working, however i dont think that this would affect you. but do you have something like norton, because it also stop ALL network interactions.... best wishes:smileyhappy:

Is it then possible to install a peer to peer networking even if my Vaio has Norton installed on it or not?
Thank you for any help. I have had the same problem as the one mentioned and would therefore be interested in the solution...

Thanx

Peer 2 Peer should be no problem, I don't know many people who have stand alone servers.

LOL Sorry Kee-lo I was referring to both the router AND the PCMCIA notebook card OR the router AND desktop card/adapter. You see I was refering to both of these as a package for £99.99 from Staples...
