New Geforce Go 6200 Driver from Sony. (77.47)

Not that Sony UK care, but there is a new driver for FS series laptop

ftp://ftp.vaio.sony.co.jp/pub/vaio/download/SP-010982-05/NVDVID-01098205-UN.exe

Unfortunatly, it still blue-screens my FS laptop when I start HalfLife 2.

Wondering when Sony will sort this problem out....

Maybe a generic GeForce driver will rectify the problem but I really believe laptops ain't for gaming.

Unless Sony decide their laptops are high end gaming machines you could have a long wait.

ok ive dwnloaded it but b4 i install anything, is this an official driver made by sony?
How did you come across it as my vaio update doesnt say anything about it?
And, has anyone else tried it yet, if so any improvement?

thanks

It's a official Sony driver for the FS series, the link is the Sony Vaio FTP site.

Sony UK don't have their eye on the ball, which is why you are not notified about the update.

Been running it for 3 weeks now, no problems,. but it does not fix any new problems either.

It seems we need a 80 series driver to fix the problems with HalfLife 2.

well driver seems fine for me, but as you say hasnt changed much.
I dont have HL2 but i do have BF2 a much more challenging game for more vaio to run and seems to run fine for me.

I think there was a solution 4 the HL2 problem something about starting it in windowed mode? search around you might find something

thx anyway
