overheating

I have a pcg f801 laptop which overheats after about 30 mins. I suspect the fan as it makes intermittent noise. Is a new fan available and is it difficult to replace. regards c isles

Have you tried cleaning the fan? Quite often a layer of dirt builds up which impedes the fan's ability to get air into the machine. You can get cans of compressed air to do the job.

As it's an older model I would open it up because it probably has 3 years worth of dust in there.
