PCG-GRX316SP - USB 2????

Hi - I have just purchased a 2nd hand Vaio - The PCG-GRX316SP

Its a P4(m) desinged for XP.

However . . . . .

Its only USB 1.1??
Surely this cant be right - I have loaded XP & Service Pack 1 on and it still says "A Hi Speed device ahs been plugged in to a NON HI SPeed Port .. . ."

Transfer rates are so slowwwwwww.
I even tried updating to Beta XP SP2 but am still running USB 1.

Does this laptop support USB2?

Yes, it's USB 1.1
You could always get a PCMIA USB2.0 card.

I think, up until the GRT series, there was no USB2 support.Sorry, but as Kee-Lo said, a PCMCIA card is the only way you're gonna get USB2 support now on that laptop.
