Problem creating system recovery disks

Can anyone throw some light on this for me please. I am trying to create systems recovery discs for my new T Series and twice now I have got half way through the job when the machine spits out the DVD-R telling me it has encountered a problem! Waste of DVDs, waste of time......... However I obviously need to do this and would really appreciate some help.

It could be a problem with the brand of media that you are using.
