We have had two or three posts with similar screen problems but with the Search not working ...............................

If you are sure you are using the latest Video drivers, I would contact Vaio-Link. I expect they will ask you to do a Recovery.

i have bought my vaio because of the reliabily of this notebooks and the x-black screen, but what it happening it's really disappointing
