PVC-W1 S Keys not working

Hi there !

Can anyone help me with my S Keys on my PCV-W1 ? they stopped functioning , I have re set them and they work fine ...until.. I shut down my PC , I have to reset them everytime I switch on. Not a real problem for me but poor old hubby can't access the internet without the S Key ,

Cheers Chrissie 26 :smileygrin: !

Hi Chrissie, if the S keys don't load at startup, check that the startup shortcut has not been lost. Mine is a PCV-W2 but I guess the S keys are the same.
Go to Start -> All programs -> Startup and you should have a shortcut to "Vaio Action \Setup (Server)" or similar.
If the shortcut is not there you can create it.
Right click on the Start Button, click on Open All Users, double click on Programs, double click on Startup and then select
File -> New -> Shortcut
Type or Browse to
"C:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Action Setup\VAServ.exe"
and click Next
Type the name "VAIO Action Setup (Server)" and click Finish

The S keys should now start for every user at startup.

Hi folks and thanks for the welcome.
Happy that worked out for you Chrissie. :slight_smile:

I wandered in here because I am having trouble with Click to DVD and the e-support is getting me nowhere :devil:
I checked the forum to see if anyone else had similar trouble but didn't find any pointers so I'll start a thread.

Cheers, Brian
