Yeah totally agree with you, it should be 1x512MB to make it easier for everyone.

Maybe it costs less to put in 2 sticks then one.Or just an extremely clever marketing ploy.Either way, nothing we can do about it except moan and hope the moaning makes its way to ears that count.
