I need to rebuild my notebook. I no longer have the original CD-ROM drive (this connected to the notebook via a connector that attached to both Firewire and DC out). I have tried booting via an external CD-ROM (both USB & Firewire), a USB floppy drive and alternatively both via a PCMCIA Firewire/USB card. other than the original CD-ROM what will allow me to boot my laptop externally ?
