Recovery Centre Woe FZ21M

Hi folks, would just like to pick peoples brains a little.
I recently purchased the VGN-FZ21M and so far it has been a fabulous buy.

Here comes the but..

Today I picked up some DVD-R's so that I could make my Recovery Disks (just in case) but when I run the Vaio recovery software I get to the section where I can click start to begin the procedure and I get the message "Vaio Recovery Centre has stopped working" and Vista promptly closes it on me.

I have also tried Windows system restore but THAT fails too.

Please help, I am worried that my system has a major fault that will become worse with time.

Have you downloaded and installed the VAIO Recovery Center Patch 1.1.4.7.?

I'm having the exact same problem on a VGN-NR11M, with all updates installed etc.

I've been browsing these boards for some time now, but apparently it's not a common problem. It would be nice to have things fixed though.
