Remote connection between Windows Media Centre and Sky box.

I have an Ar31M (running Vista)with internal IR that controls Windows Media Cectre. In order to connect and control my Sky box I have to apparently provide a remote IR reciever connected to PC through USB and also an IR Blaster one end attached to the remote reciever and the other to Sky box IR eye. It seems a very complex way of sending the control signals to the Sky box. Anyone suggest a shortcut.

Yeah this is a difficult task and I've not seen anyone replying with a working way of doing this.

I would usually suggest contacting Sky but I don't think you'll get a workable response or get ping ponged back to here.
